Nakamuraya Kasugai Released Castella Fruit Sandwich on July 14


"Castella Fruit Sandwich" is a product with fresh fruits sandwiched in slices of Taiwan Castella cake.
On July 14, Taiwanese castella cake specialty shop "Nakamuraya Kasugai", located in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, released "Castella Fruit Sandwich" with fruits such as strawberries, oranges, kiwifruits, and pineapples sandwiched between slices of "Taiwan Castella cake".

Taiwan Castella cake is a confectionery that originates in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, and has a chiffon cake-like texture.

"Castella Fruit Sandwich" is a product with fresh fruits sandwiched in slices of Taiwan Castella cake manufactured and sold by the shop. There are items such as "Strawberry", "Mandarin Orange", "Kiwi Fruit", and "Pineapple". The prices are all 780 yen including tax.

Nakamuraya Kasugai says, "Although fruit sandwiches are very popular in Japan, most of them use shokupan bread. And we thought it would be very interesting to make fruit sandwiches that use Taiwanese castella cake. After repeated researches, trials and errors, Castella Fruit Sandwich was completed."
