La Terre Releases Loaf Bread Named "Kakushoku Hokkaido Yumekirari" Made From Wheat Cultivated With No Pesticides

La Terre, a company Headquartered in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan, which has 13 bakeries and pastry shops in Tokyo and 2 bakeries in Hokkaido, released on April 1, a loaf bread named "Kakushoku Hokkaido Yumekirari", made from wheat that has been cultivated without using glyphosate and neonicotinoid pesticides.

Also, It is wheat that has been grown using as less pesticides as possible, concerning pesticides other than glyphosate and neonicotinoid.

The emphasis is placed on traceability of when, where, and who cultivated the wheat. Glyphosate, which is a herbicide, and neonicotinoid, which is an insecticide, are pesticides that have been pointed out to be carcinogenic and have effects on the fetal brain, and their use is being discussed internationally. Some countries in Europe have already banned their use.

La Terre said, "Because we eat bread every day, we want to deliver bread that can be eaten with peace of mind, so we focused on wheat flour with thorough traceability. We aimed for a bread that has a gentle sweetness and a moist and chewy texture that makes you want to eat it every day."
