Yamazaki Baking releases New Confectionery Bread Called "Maritozzo" nationwide on June 1st
Yamazaki Baking Co. Ltd., headed by president Nobuhiro Iijima, released a new confectionery bread called "Maritozzo" nationwide on June 1st, which is based on the image of sweets originating in Rome, Italy. It is a product with plenty of whipped cream sandwiched in soft brioche. By using plenty of egg yolk and kneading orange peel into the rich brioche dough, it has a refreshing aftertaste. In the whipped cream, Hokkaido cream is used and citrus flavor is added to give it a rich yet refreshing sweetness. Yamazaki Baking says, "Recently, you can easily enjoy the sweets at home that are popular on social media and on TV.
